Mazda Titan fourth generation

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The fourth-generation Mazda Titan was launched on 4 May 2000 and was the last 1.5 to 4 tonne truck that Mazda developed itself. On 25 October 2000 the one-tonne Titan Dash was launched, replacing the Bongo Brawny truck, and compressed natural gas versions joined the range in November. When the fifth generation arrived in June 2004 the Titan Dash stayed in production beside it. In December 2004 the diesel versions adopted the Bongo's 2.0-litre turbo-diesel with a particulate filter to meet new emission regulations, and a driver's airbag became standard across the Titan Dash range. In August 2007 the diesels met the long-term regulations for vehicles of one tonne or less, and the Titan Dash was discontinued in 2010.
