Fuso eCanter

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Fuso eCanter, also written Ecanter, is an electric truck in the light commercial vehicle class produced by the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation as a variant of the Canter. It was presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hanover in 2016 as the third development generation of the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 3S13 E-Cell project. Small-series production began at the main Mitsubishi Fuso plant in Kawasaki, Japan on 7 July 2017, and low-volume production followed at the Tramagal plant in Portugal on 27 July 2017. The chassis is the 7.5-tonne version of the eighth-generation Canter, with a gross vehicle weight of 7.49 tonnes and a payload of 4.5 tonnes. A 115 kW electric motor draws on water-cooled lithium-ion battery packs of 13.8 kWh each, up to six of them for 82.8 kWh in total, for a range given as about 100 km. The first deliveries in New York in September 2017 went to UPS and four non-profit organisations, and sales in North America under the Rizon brand were planned from 2023.
