Freightliner Business Class M2

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Business Class M2 is a range of medium-duty trucks that Freightliner has built since the 2003 model year, the first Business Class developed entirely by Freightliner. It replaced the FL-Series of 1991, which had mated a Mercedes-Benz cab to a Freightliner chassis, and it covers Class 5 to Class 8. It was introduced at the start of 2002 after a 250 million dollar development program. The M2 serves as box truck, flatbed, tow truck, utility, emergency and vocational chassis, and it is also built for bus bodies. It is assembled at Mount Holly, North Carolina, and at Santiago Tianguistenco, Mexico, for Latin America.
