Mercedes-Benz Actros V

The Mercedes-Benz Actros V is the 2019 generation of the Mercedes-Benz Actros, the long-distance heavy truck of the Mercedes-Benz truck brand. The French Wikipedia article calls it the fourth generation of that long-haul line, while English Wikipedia counts the same 2019 truck as the fifth generation (MP5) of the Actros; series production began at the Woerth plant in May 2019 after a reveal at the 2018 commercial vehicle show in Hannover. Outside, the headlights are redrawn with a new light signature and LED indicators, and the traditional mirrors give way to cameras whose images appear on two screens in the cab. Inside, a digital display replaces the needle instruments and a touch screen runs the MBUX system adapted for trucks, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. New driver aids include the Active Drive Assist lane-keeping system and Active Brake Assist 5. The truck keeps the diesel engines of the previous generation and adds a natural-gas engine, the six-cylinder inline M 936 G of 302 horsepower, taken over from the Econic NGT and the Citaro C2 NGT.
