Honda introduced the VTR1000F Firestorm in 1997 with an all new V-twin of 90 degrees and a fork and shock of the HMAS Honda Multi-Action System. It brought several new design concepts to Honda, such as the semi-pivotless frame, in which the engine is a stressed member and the swingarm bolts straight to it, and in the USA it was known as the SuperHawk. The sources used for this page record no other change specific to the 1997 model year, so this page claims none.
