1984 Honda VF750F Interceptor

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

In 1984 camshaft issues started to arise on the Interceptor and owners started to complain. Honda did not at first admit a problem, but after more research decided that oil flow issues most likely caused the camshaft wear, and recalled the bikes to add oil lines that do not kink and banjo bolts that restrict less. In 1984 Fred Merkel won the AMA Superbike Championship on the RC15. Neighbouring model years are linked from this page.
