1976 Honda Gold Wing

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The standard Gold Wing, the K1 model, had no significant changes for 1976. To mark the United States Bicentennial year Honda announced the GL1000 LTD with distinctive insignia and color scheme, such as gold stripes and gold wheels, plus some extra amenities. The LTD was a true limited edition, with production held to about 2,000 units. This page belongs to the Honda Gold Wing (first generation, GL1000), 1974 to 1979 model years; the generation page and the Honda Gold Wing model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
