The 1985 and 1986 VF700C models dropped the sub-tank for a slightly larger, wider main tank, and brought in a single piece painted rear fender that allowed a wider rear tire, new wheels, a passenger back rest, smaller side covers, a lower seat, brighter instruments, lighter front brake rotors and silver engine case covers. On the V30 of 500 cc the HONDA logo on the fuel tank ran straight in 1984 and curved upward in 1985.
