1983 Honda Gold Wing

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

1983 was the last year for the GL1100. Eleven spoke cast aluminum wheels replaced the ComStars, the front suspension had TRAC anti dive forks with an integrated fork brace, and the rear suspension worked even with no air pressure. Honda's first combined braking system, called Unified Braking then, appeared in 1983 and applied the front and rear brakes together when the rider pressed the brake pedal. The Aspencade also got a digital LCD instrument panel.
