1974 Honda Monkey

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Z50J was introduced by 1974, and by that time suspension had been added to the rear of the Monkey as well as the front. The first Monkey bikes had 3.5 by 5 inch wheels, but later models had 3.5 by 8 inch wheels. Decades after production ended, early Z series Mini Trails are still very popular and often sell for several times their original price. This page belongs to the Honda Monkey (Z50J to the final Z50), 1974 to 2017 model years; the generation page and the Honda Monkey model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
