Honda produced the Beat, a kei car, from May 1991 until February 1996. It is a two seater roadster with a rear mid engine, rear wheel drive layout, and it was the last car to be approved by Soichiro Honda, before he died in 1991. In total around 33,600 were made, with roughly two thirds of these built in the first year of production. The design originated from Pininfarina, who sold the design plan to Honda. It was marketed by Honda as Midship Amusement and sold exclusively in Japan, at Honda Primo dealership sales channels. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the single generation (1991 to 1996 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
