Riley One-Point-Five

Automobiles

The Riley One-Point-Five is the small Riley saloon, produced from 1957 until 1965 alongside the similar Wolseley 1500. Both used the Morris Minor floor pan, suspension and steering, but with the larger 1,489 cc B-Series engine and the MG Magnette gearbox. The Riley had twin SU carburettors giving it more power, 68 hp, nearly 20 hp more than the Wolseley, and was launched in November 1957, directly after the London Motor Show. Production ended in 1965 with 19,568 Rileys made. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the Series 1 (1957 to 1960); the Series 2 (1960 to 1961); the Series 3 (1961 to 1965).
