The 1989 model year was the last of the first generation Honda Legend, and the year in which the double wishbone rear suspension of the coupe became available on the sedan. The Wing Turbo version, the C20A V6 with a variable geometry turbocharger making 190 PS, was sold only in Japan on the smaller sedan body, and the engine lasted just two years because the second generation Legend arrived in 1990.
