The 1985 model year brought the Si to the United States with the CRX Si, which used a fuel-injected 1.5 litre SOHC four-cylinder engine making 91 hp. The Shuttle wagon could now be had with part-time four-wheel drive that worked at any speed and was engaged by a dash-mounted push button, plus a low-range granny gear that only worked in four-wheel drive. In Europe a fuel-injected 100 PS engine already used in the CR-X was installed in the Civic hatchback as the 1.5i GT from 1985.
