In October 1972 the Honda 1300 was facelifted again and rebranded as the Honda 145, again offered as a sedan or a coupe, with a SOHC water-cooled 1,433 cc EB5 engine. A 4 speed manual or a 2 speed semi automatic Hondamatic was paired with the engine, and the displacement of the engine gave the car its name. Honda's own Civic arrived four months earlier and quickly overshadowed the 145. The 1300 itself had been in production from 1969 to 1972, so this page also covers its final months.
