Honda Insight

Automobiles

The Honda Insight is a gasoline-electric hybrid car designed, built and sold by Honda. Its first generation was a three door, two seat liftback coupe, its second generation a five door, five seat liftback, its third generation a four door sedan, and in its fourth generation, announced for 2026, it became a five door crossover SUV. It was Honda's first model with the Integrated Motor Assist system and the most fuel efficient gasoline powered car available in the U.S. without plug in capability for the length of its production run. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 4 generations: the first generation (1999 to 2006 model years); the second generation (2009 to 2014 model years); the third generation (2018 to 2022 model years); the fourth generation (2026 model year). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
