The two-door coupe body style was introduced for the 1993 model year, in DX, EX and EX-S trims for the United States and DX, DX Special Edition and Si trims for Canada. The coupe was built in both Canada and the United States and exported to European and Japanese markets. The Si also gained power mirrors painted the body color, and Canada dropped the VX and Si hatchbacks once the 1993 model year ended.
