The Exclusive trim made its debut on the 1988 model year Legend, with real wood trim on the dashboard and center console, automatic headlights, wipers for the headlight washers and separate climate control for rear passengers. The 2.5 liter engine grew to the 2.7 liter C27A for model year 1988, and in October 1988 Honda added a variable geometry turbocharger, called the Wing Turbo, to the C20A V6. October 14, 1988 saw a minor restyle of the interior and dashboard.
