The 1993 model year was the last year of the fourth-generation Honda Accord. Late in 1992 the SE came back as a sedan and also as a coupe, the first SE coupe since the 1989 SE-i, and the SE sedan was the first Accord to carry dual front airbags as standard. The 1993 model year was the final one for the SE as an exclusive, richly equipped limited edition; later generations used a Special Edition name in its place. At the end of the model life a pillared hardtop called the Honda Ascot Innova was launched in Japan on the CB chassis.
