The 2005 Honda CR-V received the mid cycle refresh announced in 2004: new 16 inch wheels, new taillights and headlights, a revised grille and bumpers, a drive by wire throttle on all CR-Vs and a five speed automatic in place of the four speed on U.S. market models. The 2005 CR-V gained the SE trim, which was the first CR-V with leather seats, and every CR-V from the 2005 model year on in the United States and Canada comes with anti lock brakes, traction control, Vehicle Stability Assist and side curtain airbags.
