Honda revealed the second generation BR-V in Indonesia on 21 September 2021, having previewed it on 3 May 2021 as a near production concept called the N7X Concept. It went on production in Indonesia on 13 December 2021 with a claimed localisation level of 80 percent. Its dashboard design is nearly identical to the second generation Amaze and the WR-V released later. Unlike the first generation, the second will not be sold in Malaysia, where the shorter WR-V will take its place.
