Renault Trucks

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Renault Trucks is a French maker of commercial vehicles with its corporate headquarters at Saint-Priest near Lyon. The company dates from 1978, when the state-owned Renault group merged its two truck and bus marques, Saviem and Berliet, into Renault Véhicules Industriels. The old brand names stayed on the vehicles for two more years and were replaced by the Renault name in 1980. Renault sold its heavy vehicle business to Volvo, in a deal completed on 2 January 2001, and the company took the name Renault Trucks in 2002. Its ranges have covered delivery vans, distribution, construction and long distance trucks, and a defence division that was renamed Arquus in 2018.
