Pfalz Flugzeugwerke

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Pfalz Flugzeugwerke was a German aircraft manufacturer of the First World War, based at the Speyer airfield in the Palatinate. It is best known for its fighters, notably the D.III and the D.XII. The company went bankrupt after the Armistice, when French occupation forces confiscated its equipment, but the factory was reused by other companies, and today a parts maker called PFW exists on the site. Its aircraft saw service with the German air service on the Western Front.
