Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Bugatti is a French luxury and racing car maker founded in 1909 by the Italian-born Ettore Bugatti at Molsheim in Alsace. Before the Second World War it built finely engineered racing and touring cars such as the Type 35 and Type 57. The name was revived in 1987 and then passed to Volkswagen, which produced the Veyron of 2005 and later the Chiron, with its works again at Molsheim. Its cars are remembered both for their engineering and for racing victories, and the name has since been used for modern high-performance road cars.
