Honda Valkyrie (GL1500C, F6C)

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The original Valkyrie, the GL1500C or F6C, used a 1,520 cc liquid-cooled flat-six engine shared with Honda's fourth-generation Gold Wing, with a different camshaft, solid lifters instead of hydraulic lifters and six individual 28 mm carburetors, changes that increased power and torque. It was offered with a reverse gear in Japan and made at the Honda motorcycle plant in Marysville, Ohio. On introduction in 1997 a naked Standard and later a Tourer were offered, and the Interstate was added in 1999. Each model year has its own page.
