The 2012 Gold Wing had anti lock brakes, cruise control, an electrically assisted reverse gear, an optional airbag, a heated fairing with an adjustable windscreen, panniers and a trunk, a backrest for the passenger, satnav, and a six speaker radio and audio system with MP3 and iPod connectivity. The Japanese built GL1800s of 2012 to 2017 had minor updates, with restyled bodywork that made the fairing and saddlebags look less bulbous and a storage capacity of 150 litres.
