The second-generation Deauville of 2002 to 2005 had redesigned bodywork, enlarged panniers and many engineering modifications. Panniers of greater capacity, the left growing from 18 to 24 litres and the right from 16.7 to 19.5 litres, had more secure cover latches and hinges, and the engine was overhauled with lighter pistons and other changes to cut vibration. Honda fitted a catalytic converter to comply with the stricter EU emissions laws. With minor modifications in 2004 the design remained largely unchanged until its relaunch as the NT700V in 2006. Each model year has its own page.
