1979 Honda CBX

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Cycle World testing showed that the 1979 CBX covered the quarter mile in 11.36 seconds. The CB900F, a sibling that came in late 1979, sold more than the CBX, though the press received the CBX well, and Cycle Guide called it the Vincent Black Shadow of 1979 when it appeared. This page belongs to the Honda CBX (sports CBX), 1978 to 1980 model years; the generation page and the Honda CBX model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
