The Saab 24 was a design for a twin-engine night fighter and dive bomber drawn up by Svenska Aeroplan AB around the time of the Second World War, intended to replace the widely used Saab 18 in the Swedish Air Force. It looked much like the Saab 18 but would have used two more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engines, giving a quoted top speed of 392 mph at 22,000 feet and earning the nickname Swedish Mosquito after the British de Havilland Mosquito. Work began in late 1941 and went as far as a full-scale mockup and wind tunnel testing. It was never built: the Saab 18B received the same DB 605 engine, which made a new production line unnecessary, and the project was discontinued in December 1943.
