The Saab 36, also known as Projekt 1300, was a Swedish supersonic bomber that Saab AB planned during the 1950s. It was meant to carry an 800 kg free-falling nuclear weapon, and it would have used delta wings like the Saab 35 Draken fighter, with two Bristol Olympus turbojets of the type that powered the Avro Vulcan bomber. The design figures called for a one-man crew, a length of 17 metres, a wingspan of 9.6 metres and a top speed of Mach 2.14. The aircraft was never built: the plans for the bomber were cancelled in 1957, and the Swedish nuclear weapons programme it was designed to serve was itself cancelled in the 1960s.
