Transcontinental Freight Rail Corridors

Long rail freight corridors that carry goods across a continent or between continents, usually as a chain of main lines run by several railways and linked by shared timetables, terminals and border crossings. The New Eurasian Land Bridge, the southern counterpart to the Eurasian Land Bridge, runs through China and Central Asia and is the working example. An entry belongs here when its cited article describes a named rail route or service whose main purpose is moving freight over long distances, often through more than one country. It excludes short port or industrial rail links, passenger trains and ordinary single-country freight lines. Entries are placed by what their own cited article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
