Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Saf-T-Liner C2 is a bus that Thomas Built Buses has made since 2004, mainly as a yellow school bus but also for commercial and specialty uses. It was the first cowled-chassis bus Thomas designed after Freightliner bought the company in late 1998, and the first all-new Thomas body in over three decades. It is known for a tall one-piece windshield and for seating up to 81 passengers, the largest capacity of any conventional-type school bus in North America. The chassis comes from the first-generation Freightliner Business Class M2 truck, dashboard included. It has been built with diesel and other fuels, and with hybrid and fully electric powertrains, at High Point, North Carolina.
