The Wolseley Ten was based on the 1938 Morris Ten Series M but the Morris had semi unitary construction whereas the Wolseley had a substantial steel section chassis with cruciform bracing, with many shared steel body pressings. The wheelbase of 90 inches was 4 inches shorter than the Morris to keep the weight down. The suspension used semi elliptic leaf springs all round and the brakes were Lockheed hydraulic drums. Its model years run from 1939 to 1948.
