Wolseley Eight (Eight)

Automobiles

The Wolseley Eight took the Morris Eight Series E and gave it a very different appearance with a traditional Wolseley bonnet and grille and a boot lid hinged at the bottom rather than the top. The engine was converted from the original side valve type to an overhead valve one, lifting power from 29 to 33 horsepower. The suspension used half elliptic leaf springs and the brakes were hydraulic drums, and the interior had leather upholstery, pile carpets and walnut trim. Its model years run from 1946 to 1948.
