The Wolseley 1100 was introduced in September 1965, a four door saloon mechanically similar to the MG 1100, with a strip speedometer in a wooden fascia as in the MG. It was offered with leather seats as standard. At the end of May 1967 BMC announced the fitting of a larger 1275 cc engine to the MG, Riley Kestrel, Vanden Plas and Wolseley variants. Wolseley was one of the range of rebadged versions built on the ADO16. Its model years run from 1965 to 1968.
