The Vauxhall 23-60 was a four or five-seater touring car built by Vauxhall of Luton and announced in July 1922. Its standard tourer Kington body was said to preserve the greyhound look of the Vauxhall car. It shared many parts with the much more powerful 30-98 and replaced the Vauxhall 25, from which it was developed, with a reputation for dependability. The engine was essentially the four-cylinder unit of the 25 hp car, modified by chief engineer C E King with an overhead valve head and a Lanchester harmonic balancer at the centre of the crankshaft. It remained in production until the six-cylinder single-sleeve-valve Vauxhall 25-70 was announced in October 1925, shortly before General Motors took control of Vauxhall on 16 November 1925.
