Opel 9/25 PS

Automobiles

The Opel 9/25 PS was a upper mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built from 1916 to 1922 as the successor of the 8/22 PS. It had a larger engine than the 8/22 PS. Its four-cylinder inline side-valve engine displaced 2,332 cc and produced 28 PS (20.6 kW) at 1,600 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 4-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle, and the car reached a top speed of 65 km/h. It was offered as a two-seat phaeton, a four-seat touring car, a four-door Pullman saloon or a special landaulet with the character of a double phaeton. Production ended in 1922, and the new 9/30 PS and 10/30 PS replaced it.
