Opel 8M21

The Opel 8M21 was a upper mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built from early 1921 to the end of 1922 as a simpler model of the 9/25 PS. Near the end of the 9/25 PS run Opel introduced this simplified version with a smaller engine and a narrower range of bodies. Its four-cylinder inline side-valve engine displaced 2,042 cc and produced 25 PS (18.4 kW) at 1,600 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 4-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle. It was offered as a six to seven seat torpedo or a four-door Pullman saloon. Production ended at the end of 1922 together with the normal 9/25 PS, and the 8/40 PS from 1928 can be seen as the successor.
