The Opel 8/20 PS was a upper mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built from 1910 to 1913 as the successor of the 12/14 PS and the 8/16 PS. It restored a 2.0 litre model as the base of the upper mid-range after the 8/16 PS was dropped. Its crankcase was cast in aluminium, and the cylinder block and head were grey cast iron. Its four-cylinder side-valve block engine displaced 2,032 cc and produced 20 PS (14.7 kW) at 1,600 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 4-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle, and the car reached a top speed of 65 km/h. It was offered as five body variants: a two-seat phaeton, a four or six seat double phaeton, a four-door saloon and a landaulet. The phaeton, the cheapest body, cost 6,900 reichsmarks. In early 1914 the slightly stronger 8/22 PS replaced it.
