Opel 7/34 PS

Automobiles

The Opel 7/34 PS was a mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built from 1927 to 1928. Its six-cylinder inline engine displaced 1,735 cc and produced 34 PS (25 kW) at 3600 rpm. Its top speed was 90 km/h. It was offered as a touring car or a limousine. It followed the Opel 6/16 PS and was followed by the Opel 8/40 PS. Production ended in 1928. The cheapest factory-bodied version was the touring car at 4,600 reichsmarks, very cheap for a six-cylinder car, and a four-door limousine cost 4,900. Together with its successor, the 8/40 PS, 20,580 cars were built in almost three years, which made Opel one of the largest makers of mid-range cars in Germany in the 1920s.
