The Opel 34/80 PS was a upper-class car that Adam Opel KG built from early 1914 to the end of 1916 as the successor of the 34/65 PS. It had more interior room and more power than its predecessor, a propeller shaft running in an oil bath, and a new front subframe to carry the engine. Its four-cylinder side-valve block engine displaced 8,760 cc and produced 80 PS (59 kW) at 1,300 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 4-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle, and the car reached a top speed of 110 km/h. It was offered as a six-seat double phaeton, a four-door Pullman saloon or a landaulet, and on request mixed forms of double phaeton and landaulet. The touring car was the cheapest model at 16,250 reichsmarks. Production stopped at the end of 1916 without a successor, and it remained the last Opel with a displacement above 8 litres.
