The Opel 3,7 Liter, also called the Opel 14/50 PS, was a luxury-class passenger car that Adam Opel AG built only in 1929 as the successor to the 12/50 PS. It was introduced in early 1929 together with the 4,2 Liter, successor to the larger 15/60 PS. Its side-valve inline six-cylinder engine was enlarged to 3636 cubic centimetres and kept the output of 50 PS at 2800 revolutions per minute, with a stated torque of 130 newton metres at 2400. Power went through a multi-plate clutch, a three-speed manual gearbox, a propeller shaft and a differential to the rear wheels. The car had a steel channel ladder frame, two rigid axles on leaf springs with shock absorbers, and drum brakes on all four wheels. It came as a tourer, a Pullman saloon or an estate. Production stopped at the end of 1929, and the Admiral of 1937 followed it.
