Opel 29/70 PS

Automobiles

The Opel 29/70 PS was an upper-class car that Adam Opel KG built only in 1914. Its four-cylinder block side-valve engine displaced 7,464 cc and produced 72.5 PS (53 kW) at 1400 rpm. Power reached the rear axle through a clutch, a gearbox and a propeller shaft. Its top speed was 100 km/h. The chassis frame was built from sheet-steel U-sections, with both rigid axles hung on semi-elliptical leaf springs. It was offered as a Pullman limousine, a touring car or a landaulet. It followed the Opel 28/70 PS and was followed by the Opel 30/75 PS. Production ended in 1914.
