The Opel 18/50 PS was a upper-class car that Adam Opel KG built from 1916 to 1920 as the successor of the 20/45 PS. It was essentially the 20/45 with a smaller but stronger engine. Its four-cylinder side-valve block engine displaced 4,676 cc and produced 56 PS (41 kW) at 1,500 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 4-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle, and the car reached a top speed of 85 km/h. It was offered as a four-seat double phaeton, a torpedo, a four-door Pullman saloon or a landaulet. It was built until 1920, by which time its successor, the 21/55 PS, was already on the market.
