The Opel 15/24 PS was a upper-class car that Adam Opel KG built only in 1909 as the successor of the 20/22 PS. Opel had built no car of this size class for two years after the 20/22 PS ran out in 1906. Its four-cylinder side-valve engine cast as two blocks displaced 3,770 cc and produced 24 PS (17.6 kW) at 2,500 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 4-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle. It was offered as a two-seat phaeton, a four-seat double phaeton, a four-door saloon or a landaulet. The phaeton, the cheapest body, cost 10,000 reichsmarks. It was built until the end of 1909, and the larger 16/35 PS followed in 1910.
