The Opel 12 PS was a mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built only in 1903. Its two-cylinder inline side-valve T-head engine displaced 1,885 cc and produced 12 PS (8.8 kW) at 1200 rpm. Power reached the rear axle through a clutch, a manual gearbox and a propeller shaft. Its top speed was 55 km/h. The chassis frame was built from sheet-steel U-sections, with both rigid axles hung on semi-elliptical leaf springs. It was offered as a phaeton, a tonneau or a coupe. It was followed by the Opel 9/10 PS. Production ended in 1903.
