The Opel 12/14 PS was a upper mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built from 1904 to 1908. In size and layout it resembled the 10/12 PS introduced two years earlier, but it had a larger and stronger engine with an L-head in place of the earlier T-head. Its two-cylinder inline side-valve engine displaced 2,078 cc and produced 14 PS (10.3 kW) at 1,400 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 3-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle, and the car reached a top speed of 55 km/h. It was offered as a two-seat phaeton, a four-seat double phaeton or a four-seat tonneau. The phaeton, the cheapest body, cost 7,000 reichsmarks. Production stopped in 1908, and the 10/18 PS followed it.
