The Opel 10/12 PS was a mid-range car that Adam Opel KG built from 1902 to 1906. It was the first Opel the Rüsselsheim maker built to its own design, the first car of the brand in the mid-range class, and the first Opel to use a two-cylinder engine. Its two-cylinder inline side-valve engine with a T-head displaced 1,885 cc and produced 12 PS (8.8 kW) at 2,000 rpm. Power passed through a leather cone clutch, a manual 3-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle, and the car reached a top speed of 45 km/h. It was offered as a two-seat phaeton, a four-seat tonneau or a two-seat coupe. The cheapest, the phaeton, cost 6,000 reichsmarks. Production stopped in 1906, and the 8/16 PS followed from 1910.
