The Mainline was the base trim level of the Ford range in the 1952 to 1956 model years, below the Customline and Crestline, and it kept that position in the redesigned 1955 range. It was discontinued for the 1957 model year when the Ford Custom became the new base model. It was offered as a two door sedan, a four door sedan, a two door coupe and a two door station wagon, with six cylinder and V8 engines. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1952 to 1956).
