1976 Vauxhall Chevette

Automobiles

More conventional two and four door saloons, and three door estate variants, essentially the Kadett C with Vauxhall front bodywork and engines, were also offered from June 1976. The United States version, the Chevrolet Chevette, was introduced in January 1976 as the smallest domestically produced car there. From 1975 until 1978 the Chevette was the best selling hatchback in the United Kingdom. The 1976 Chevette also came as an estate and the Bedford Chevanne van.
